Grande Anse

Grande-Anse is the starting point for ocean excursions. Between July and September, Bay of Chaleur is home to whales attracted by its plankton-rich waters. It is possible to see whales from the top of the capes. Come discover many little crypts on the bottom of this bay surrounded by portly cliffs and out of this world landscapes while enjoying peaceful waves splashing and sea breeze. Come swim and frolic in warm beach waters. Aquatic activities are practiced in Grande-Anse. Rent kakaks. Float on the sea along the edge of our capes which shelter bird species. Club des Oursins offers diving. Grande-Anse is also entry point of the Acadian Peninsula multipurpose trail. Bicycle rides lead just about anywhere in the region. Take off to Caraquet via Saint-LĂ©olin and Bertrand. Stroll along beaches near the cliffs while enjoying scenery. The intense marine life is well protected from human activity. Come discover sealife in their natural environment. Pick blue mussels which are often stuck to rocks along the capes.
